GRI M-5

The GRI M-5 Press Fit Recessed Magnet measures 3/8" in diameter. It is best-suited for use with a contact that matches its 3/8" diameter. The magnet must be properly aligned with the sensor to ensure proper operation. It is available in white and brown. Test the sensor after installation.

Like any recessed magnet, it is important to make sure that the GRI M-5 Magnet is properly aligned with the sensor it is being used with. This will help ensure that the sensor's internal metal reed switch stays closed when the door or window is shut. When you open the door or window, the magnet will separate from the sensor. This will release the metal reed switch. The sensor will respond by alerting the system to the open door or window.

We recommend using the GRI M-5 Press Fit Recessed Magnet with a recessed sensor that also measures 3/8" in diameter. This will make it easier to align the magnet with the sensor. This magnet is installed using a press fit. Make sure the hole is deep enough. The sensor and magnet combination should be tested after installation.
