Description

The Honeywell LCP500-4B is the Lyric Controller's 4-hour backup battery. This is a compact NiCad rechargeable battery pack that fits right inside the back plate of the Lyric touchscreen display keypad. It is composed of 6 individual batteries joined together in a sealed pack. Together the batteries are running at 7.2V and output 1100mAh. The Lyric Controller requires power from the transformer to boot up. However if AC power is lost this backup battery will keep the panel fully functional.

During power outages, the Lyric will report an AC loss event to the central station and Total Connect app (assuming these services are active on the panel). Also, after the battery begins draining the Lyric will transmit a low battery trouble signal. These two signals generally will result in a text, email or phone call to the alarm owner so they are made aware of the power issue. Without a backup battery, the Lyric will simply shut down and be unable to send out AC loss or low battery trouble alerts.

The 4-hour estimated backup time will vary based on the amount of power the Lyric consumes at the time. If there is an alarm event the battery will drain much faster than if the panel is simply idle. For most Lyric owners this included backup battery is enough for battery backup. However if the system is installed in an area that has often power outages (especially if they last more than a few hours) we recommend upgrading to the Honeywell LCP500-24B. The LCP500-24B is a 24-hour backup battery.

Brand: Honeywell Resideo

The battery will need to be installed for 24 hours before the error will clear. After 24 hours if you're unable to clear the error, the battery may not be getting enough power to fully charge or may be bad.
My lyric control still displays a low battery even after a new battery installed. What could be the problem?
