Resideo R30012033

The Resideo R30012033 is a 5VDC, plug-in power adapter for the 5828 and the 5828V wireless keypads. It allows the keypads to active at all times. This compares to being only powered by the included (3) AA alkaline batteries.

The 5828 and 5828V to enter a sleep mode after (15) seconds of inactivity. While this keeps you from having to constantly replace batteries, it also can be an inconvenience. Unfortunately, once the alarm keypads enter sleep mode, the only way to wake them back up is by pressing the [*] key.

The Resideo R30012033 helps conserve the battery and prevents the keypad from going into sleep mode. It has a barrel connector that plugs directly into the wireless keypad.

Every 5828DM desk mount kit includes a power adapter. The desk mount kit should be considered if you want to keep your keypad powered at all times and be able to use it from a desk or counter top. The R30012033 is preferred if you will not need the desk mount.

Your 5828 or 5828V alarm keypad can still take up to (5) seconds to display your alarm control panel’s system status even when using the R30012033.
