Honeywell 945-WH

The Honeywell 945 is a wired door and window contact that has a permanently attached 15-foot zip cord. The end of the cord connects with a wired alarm panel at a standard wired zone. The sensor should be mounted on the door or window frame, and its included magnet should go on the frame.

As this is a surface-mount contact, you do not need to drill any holes to install. The sensor and magnet can be conveniently mounted using their attached adhesive strips. This is a great solution for DIY users who don't want to drill into the door or window. However, you will still need to run the attached wire back to the panel. It uses leads to connect with the wired zone terminals

Keep in mind that since the wire is permanently attached to the sensor, you will not be able to easily increase its length. If you plan on using a door and window contact more than 15 feet away from the panel, then you should get a conventional hardwired contact where alarm wire would be connected both at the sensor and at the panel. The maximum allowed magnet spacing gap for the sensor is 1.25 inches.
