The Resolution Products RE119 provides wireless flood and temperature detection for 319.5 MHz systems. The sensor uses three (3) zones for full functionality. The features include flood detection, freeze detection, and overheat detection. Each zone is enrolled with the system separately.
As a 319.5 MHz wireless sensor, the RE119 will work with a variety of systems, including the 319.5 MHz Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus, the original IQ Panel 2, and the Interlogix Simon Panels. In order to achieve the full functionality of the sensor, you will need to enroll to three (3) separate zones. Each one can be auto-enrolled in a unique manner. Only the functions you need should be programmed. As such, they can all be considered optional. It is a complete Home Disaster sensor, with a built in reed switch and magnet that is used for enrollment.
The first zone is for flood detection. It uses the RF DL ID printed on the sensor, and it will end in a 0. This zone is just enrolled by activating the tamper switch while the panel is in its auto-enrollment mode. The sensor has built-in probes and can be placed on the floor or this purpose.
The second zone is for low-temp or freeze detection. This zone will use an ID that ends with the number 1. This zone is enrolled by holding down the tamper and applying power to the sensor by inserting the battery while the magnet is away from the reed switch. This zone will fault when the detected temperature drops below 40-degrees Fahrenheit.
The third and final zone is for high-temp or furnace runaway detection. This zone will use an ID that ends with the number 2. This zone is enrolled by holding down the tamper and applying power to the sensor by inserting the battery while the magnet is in contact with the sensor, and its internal reed switch is not released. This zone will fault when the detected temperature rises above 100-degrees Fahrenheit.
The RE119 uses a single lithium CR123A sensor for power. Its expected battery life is eight (8) to ten (10) years. It features a tamper switch to alert the system if anyone tries to open up the sensor. Remember that only desired functions should be enrolled in the panel. This will save zones and preserve battery life. There is an LED light to indicate status. Dimensions for the sensor are 3.3"L x 4.1"W x 1.1"D.
