How Do I Set the Z-Wave Frequency Region on the IQ Panel 5?
To set the Z-Wave Frequency Region on the IQ Panel 5, swipe down and touch Settings, then Advanced Settings, and enter your Installer Code. Next, touch Installation, then Installer Settings, and set the Z-Wave Frequency Region automatically or choose your own region from the list manually.
About the Z-Wave Frequency Region
Z-Wave uses different radio frequencies in different parts of the world, and the Z-Wave Frequency Region setting tells the IQ Panel 5 (available in AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE) which one to use. It normally sets itself automatically based on your install region and the Z-Wave hardware in the panel, so most installations never need to touch it. The region has to match your Z-Wave devices for them to communicate, which keeps the automation on your security system working reliably.
If you do need to set it by hand, you can choose from United States, United States Long Range, European Union, Australia and New Zealand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, India, Israel, Russia, China, Japan, or Korea. For a typical US system, United States is correct, and United States Long Range is the option for Z-Wave Long Range devices. Picking the wrong region can keep Z-Wave devices from pairing, so only change it if you have a specific reason to.
Before You Begin
The Z-Wave Frequency Region is in the Installer Settings, which require the Installer Code (1111 by default) or Dealer Code (2222 by default). The steps below use the Installer Code. Because the region is tied to the panel's Z-Wave hardware, the automatic setting is almost always the right one, so change it manually only if your devices are built for a different region.

Leave it automatic or choose your region.
Tips
If Z-Wave devices will not pair at all, a mismatched region is one thing worth checking, though a wrong region is uncommon since the panel usually sets it automatically. Choose United States Long Range only if your devices specifically support Z-Wave Long Range, as it is a distinct mode from standard United States Z-Wave. After changing the region, you may need to re-pair devices, so it is best to settle on the correct region before you build out your Z-Wave network.
Setting the Z-Wave Frequency Region on the IQ Panel 5 makes sure the panel and your Z-Wave devices are on the same frequency.
