How Do I Add a 2GIG Door and Window Sensor to the IQ5 Hub?

To add a 2GIG door and window sensor to the IQ5 Hub, install the IQ QC0005-840 345 MHz daughter card first. Go to Advanced Settings, Installation, Devices, Security Sensors, and touch Auto Learn. Open the sensor to send a signal, set Sensor Type to Door/Window, and choose a Sensor Group.

About the 2GIG-DW10-345

The IQ5 Hub (available in AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE) is compatible with the 2GIG-DW10-345 door and window contact, a 345 MHz wireless surface-mount sensor. The IQ QC0005-840 345 MHz daughter card must be installed before enrollment. The sensor body mounts on the door or window frame and the magnet mounts on the moving part. Separating the two sends a signal to the panel.

Group 10 (Entry-Exit Normal Delay) gives entry delay for a main door. Group 12 provides a longer delay for garage entries. Group 13 (Instant Perimeter D/W) triggers an instant alarm — use for windows and secondary doors. All 345 MHz door contacts use Loop 1 only. With a monitoring plan, every armed door event is reported to the central station.

Steps to Add the Door and Window Sensor

1. Swipe down from the top of the screen and touch Settings. The Settings page opens.

4. Touch Auto Learn Sensor. The panel enters listening mode for a 345 MHz signal.

5. Open the door or window where the sensor is installed. Separating the sensor from the magnet sends a 345 MHz signal. The panel chimes and displays the DL ID. Source shows SRF345. Leave Loop at Loop 1.

6. Touch OK, set Sensor Type to Door/Window, choose a Sensor Group and Name, then touch Add New. Use Group 10 for a main entry door, Group 12 for longer delay, or Group 13 for windows and secondary doors. Enter a name like Front Door or Living Room Window and touch Add New.

After Adding the Sensor

Test after enrollment by opening and closing the door or window. The sensor is supervised — a lost connection generates a trouble condition. For a hidden installation, the 2GIG-DWR100-345 recessed contact mounts flush inside the frame with no visible hardware. Expand your security system with additional sensors at every entry point.

Adding the 2GIG-DW10-345 to your IQ5 Hub gives you wireless door and window protection at every entry point on the IQ5 Hub.
