Description

If you're looking for a simple, yet effective door and window sensor and/or a wireless transmitter for a 2GIG Alarm System, then the 2GIG DW10-345 Sensor is a fantastic option. This is a thin, wireless security sensor that is practically invisible when mounted on a flat, white surface.

As a 2GIG 345 MHz Sensor, the 2GIG DW10-345 works nicely with the 2GIG GC2, GC2e, GC3, and GC3e, as a non-encrypted sensor. You can also use it with the Honeywell Lyric if the system has had Firmware Update MR3 or higher applied. Lastly, the sensor is compatible with the 345 MHz Version of the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus, as well as the Resideo PROA7PLUS if a PROTAKEOVER Module is used on the 2GIG Setting.

When programming the 2GIG DW10-345, you need to consider which function is being used. The sensor has two (2) programmable functions, with each function utilizing a different Loop Number in programming. Loop Number 1 allows the sensor to function as a wireless transmitter for a hardwired Normally Closed (NC) contact. If you use Loop 1, then you must connect using the wiring harness, which comes supplied with the sensor.

Most users will recognize Loop 2 as the more commonly used function with the 2GIG DW10-345. When you program for Loop 2, you are telling the sensor to use its integrated reed switch in conjunction with an included magnet. The magnet is placed on the moving portion of the door or window, while the sensor itself is placed on the door or window frame. Opening the door or window will cause the magnet to become separated from the sensor, thereby releasing the reed switch and telling the sensor to alert the system.

Please note that you can certainly use both Loops 1 and 2 on the DW10 at the same time if desired. In other words, you can have Loop 1 enabling the sensor to function as a wireless transmitter for a connected NC wired contact, while also simultaneously using Loop 2 to have the sensor's internal reed switch being active so that the sensor operates as a door and window contact in its own right. This configuration will require the use of two separate zones.

For power, the 2GIG DW10-345 relies on two (2) lithium CR2032 coin batteries, which come included. The maximum range for the sensor is 350 nominal feet in an open-air environment. It is a surface-mount contact that can be installed using screws or double-sided foam tape. The sensor measures 2.59"L x 1.03"W x 0.49"D, while its magnet measures 1.3"L x 0.435"W x 0.312"D. You should avoid mounting the sensor on metal surfaces, as doing so may result in RF interference and poor performance.

How do I pair the 2gig thin window/door sensor with iq panel 2
Hi, it definitely sounds logical as we have never tested an ADT panel to determine this.
Do i have to buy this item from ADT in order for it to work with my Go! control panel?
You're welcome.
Thanks! Time to do a count of what I need... 🙂
Yes, this is a new product in the original packaging.
Are these new in original packaging? Too many places selling used ones without specifying as such...
Yes, this item is compatible with the 2gig system. If you are monitored and need help enrolling it we can do that for you. Please give us a call at 888-818-7728 or email us at support@alarmgrid.com. If you are interested in monitoring take a look here: https://www.alarmgrid.com/monitoring
Is this compatible with a 2gig panel, where I can sync it with our alarm system (alarm.com)?
Yes, you could paint them black as long as the paint you use doesn't affect the sensors transmitting ability or the ability of the sensor to detect the magnet being in close proximity or not. I would suggest testing the sensor by holding it and the magnet up on the window/frame and then opening/closing the window to see if the panel detects the zone fault/restore before permanently mounting. That way, you'll know if you need a spacer or not.
Can these be painted black? If the window is wood inside, but aluminum clad, does it still need to be padded?
No, 2Gig wireless sensors are not compatible with a Honeywell wireless sensor. You'll need to use Honeywell 5800 Series sensors instead. The 5811 (https://www.alarmgrid.com/products/honeywell-5811 ) is an equivalent sensor that would work with your system.
Are these compatible with the Vista-20P with a 5881ENH?
