IQ5 Hub with Verizon LTE
Touchscreen w/PG+ and Z-Wave 800
Description
The IQH5017 is the Verizon LTE version of the IQ5 Hub, a smart security and automation controller built on the same modern platform as the IQ Panel 5 but without the integrated PortraitView camera. It uses the Qualcomm Dragonwing™ quad-core processor and Android 14 software for responsive performance and future-ready support.
This hub supports dual-path communications with built-in Verizon LTE and dual-band Wi-Fi. The PowerG+ 915 MHz wireless transceiver delivers encrypted two-way communication with sensors and automation devices, supporting up to 128 PowerG+ security sensors and up to 100 PowerG automation devices. Total supported devices reach up to 167 when including other RF and Z-Wave devices.
The IQH5017 includes a Z-Wave 800 Series module with Long Range support. This improves smart home device communication performance and reduces the need for range extenders. Bluetooth allows for features like touchless disarming and mobile proximity capabilities. Learn more about smart home radios here: Z-Wave 800 Series Overview.
The hub’s 7-inch capacitive touchscreen runs at 1080 × 600 resolution and supports local arming, disarming, and menu navigation. It includes one microphone, a 2W speaker, and an 85 dB siren for local alerts. A 24-hour lithium polymer backup battery helps keep the system operating during power disruptions. The IQH5017 supports up to four partitions and up to 242 user codes, making it a strong choice for larger homes or multi-use sites requiring reliable security and automation control.
The IQ5 Hub also supports optional RF daughter cards, allowing it to work with additional wireless sensor frequencies beyond the built-in radios. These plug-in cards are commonly used during takeovers or retrofits where existing sensors need to remain in service. Already installed is a PowerG+ card, but other supported options include the QC0001-840 (319.5 MHz IQ Card), QC0004-840 (433 MHz IQ Card), and the QC0005-840 (345 MHz IQ Card). Adding the correct daughter card allows the IQ Hub to support legacy or frequency-specific sensors without changing the core system design, making it easier to adapt the hub to a wide range of installations.
