ADC-VDB770 enrollment best practices
Follow the steps on this page to ensure that the ADC-VDB770
operates the way it should.
Before enrollment
Verify the original chime and doorbell button function properly
Ring the doorbell before starting the installation to ensure the system functions properly.
Verify the internet bandwidth is sufficient for the device
The ADC-VDB770 requires at least 2.5 Mbps upload speed at the location the device is to be installed. For more

Verify the transformer meets the device's power requirements
AC transformer
16-30V AC, 10-30VA*
DC transformer
15-30V DC, 8W minimum*

Enrolling the ADC-VDB770 to the account
The enrollment process for the ADC-VDB770 is similar to enrolling other Alarm.com video devices.

1 Using the MobileTech app:
1.
Log into the MobileTech app.
2.
Find the customer account.
3.
Tap to expand
Quick Actions

In the
Enter MAC Address
field, enter the
MAC address.
7.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the enrollment process.
Using the Customer app:

Log into the Customer app.

Enter MAC Address
field, enter the
MAC address.

on the device to be installed, or

dropdown menu, select the desired video device.

Chime Type

letter printed on its back that corresponds with its type.

How Does Video Analytics work on the ADC-VDB770?
Users can create one people-detection
Video Analytics rule
with three possible features which include:
Feature
Description
Person detected
Once a person is detected within a Ground Zone the
user configures, any users added
as recipients will
receive a notification on their phone.
Video Analytics triggered Z-Wave lights automation
Once a guest is detected within the ground zone, the
user can configure Z-Wave lights to turn on.

Description
Touchless Doorbell
The Touchless Doorbell feature, when enabled, rings the
doorbell automatically when a guest enters a secondary
Ground Zone configured within the ADC-VDB770's
Video
Analytics rule.
The user receives
a notification if either
a doorbell push
notification is configured
or if the Touchless Doorbell
Ground Zone is within the Person Detected ground zone.

How is the ADC-VDB770’s Video Analytics different
from other video cameras?
The ADC-VDB770 is designed to quickly detect guests within its customer-configured detection zone and send a
notification immediately. The rule uploads a recorded clip after detection.
The Video Analytics rule for the ADC-VDB770 can only detect people.
