Legrand Audio Quick Start Guide
Integrate a Legrand Digital Audio System with the Alarm.com app for access to its
digital audio system from the user's
Alarm.com Customer app.
Note
: Legrand
Digital Audio System features can only be managed through the Alarm.com app.
Supported hardware
The Legrand Digital Audio System is comprised of the following Alarm.com-supported components:

Digital Audio Distribution Module (AU7000)

Digital Audio Amplified Keypad (AU7010-XX)

Digital Audio Expansion Modules (AU7004)

Digital Input Module (AU7001)

Digital Audio Local Source Input (AU7008-XX)

Digital Audio Global Source Input (AU7007-XX)

Connect a Legrand system with an Alarm.com account:
1.
Log into the Legrand app, and verify the system displays correctly.
Note
: The device must be on the same network as the audio distribution module for the Legrand app to work
properly.

Log into the Alarm.com account using the username and password.

Select System
.

Tap

Start
to load the speakers (zones) tied to the user's Legrand Digital Audio System.

1 To control audio using the Alarm.com app:
To play audio from a
device with the Alarm.com app, the device must be connected to a
source
wired to the audio
distribution module.
Note
: Song selection is not available from the Alarm.com app.

Log into the Customer app.

Tap

Tap
Audio

4.
Tap zone selection.
Note
: The zone selection can display as the name of the first zone.
5.
Tap the desired zone.
Note
: All zones can be played at once using the
Play All
option.
Navigating the Source Menu
Zone Setting
Tap to open the zone settings menu. From here:

Change the volume of any zone

Select additional zones to play a source by checking the box next to the zone

Rotate through the source options to choose different sources for the zones

Select all zones to play one source

Deselect all zones from playing a source
The Source Page
Tap the three dots on the source menu to go to the source page. From here:

Play now – play the source on the selected zone

Play on all zones – play the source on all of the zones

Play on multiple zones – play the source on selected zones

Open Legrand App – go to the user's Legrand Digital Audio app

Cancel – go back to the source menu
Add Legrand
Audio to
Scenes
Legrand
Audio control can be added to a Scene using the Customer app. It is possible to play, turn off, or mute zones
while running a Scene.
To create a Scene featuring Legrand Audio:
1.
Log into the Customer app.
2.
Tap
.
3.
Tap
to create a new Scene.
4.
Tap
Change Icon
to change the displayed icon for the Scene.
5.
Tap
Done
to confirm the selection.
6.
Enter a name for the Scene.
7.
Tap
to add devices.
8.
Tap
Audio
.
9.
Select which action the Scene should control (e.g.,
Play zones
,
Turn off zones
, or
Mute zones
).
10.
Select which zones will be controlled by the Scene.
11.
Tap
Done
.
12.
Add any additional devices to the Scene, then tap
to save.

3 Remove a
Legrand system from a customer account:
A Legrand system can only be removed using the Partner Portal.
Using the Partner Portal:
1.
Log into the Partner Portal.
2.
Find the customer account.
3.
Click
Equipment
.
4.
Click
emPower
Devices
.
5.
In
Type
, click
Audio
.
6.
In
Device Commands
for the Audio Controller, click
Delete Device
.
Troubleshooting audio integration
Audio is not an option in the Customer app
If the option for
Audio
is not on the menu, verify the customer has
Audio Integration
as an add-on to their Service
Package. For more information about updating the Service Package, see
Change or adjust the service package on a
customer account
.
If
Audio Integration
is on the customer's
Service Package, the user may need to log out and log back into the app.
Legrand devices are not found when provisioning in the Customer app

Verify that the user's device is connected to the same internet network as the Legrand system.

Verify the Legrand Audio Distribution Module (ADM) firmware has been updated with the newest available
firmware.
