Qolsys regularly releases firmware updates for their panels. Keeping the system on the latest firmware ensures that it continues to run smoothly. On this page, you will find the latest firmware updates for the IQ Pro. The current firmware update will be prominently displayed at the top of the page. Select the "Download" button, and follow the instructions listed further down this page!

Firmware Compatibility Note: The Qolsys IQ Pro must be on firmware version 4.2.1n+ in order to install 4.3.0n.

To wirelessly install this software, no download is required as long as you have the Qolsys IQ Installer Interface app and the panel has a connection to either WIFI or Ethernet . This IQ Installer app is available as a free download from both the iOS and Android app stores. Connect to the panel using the app, then follow the instructions below. Make sure your panel is on version 4.2.1n+ before moving on to 4.3.0n. If your panel is not on version 4.2.1n, please follow these steps first, using patch tag iqpro4.2.1n. Once that update has completed, you can then move on to 4.3.0n:

  • Connect to the IQ Pro using the IQ Installer Interface App.
  • Touch “Configuration”
  • Touch "Upgrade Software".
  • Touch “Patch Tag” and enter: iqpro4.3.0n then touch “OK”
  • Touch “Yes, I want to Upgrade.” If the panel is connected to WIFI or Ethernet the system will begin downloading the update. It will be installed when the download completes. The update will take about 5 minutes, and the panel will reboot as a part of the process. After the reboot, you can reconnect with the Installer Interface to verify the firmware version.

    • Instructions for Updating the Qolsys IQ Pro Via Access Point

    For customers who cannot update using WIFI or Ethernet, follow these steps to update using a phone, tablet, or computer:
    1. Download the necessary update file to your chosen phone, tablet, or computer. The latest update file is accessible through the green button link above. Upon reaching the Dropbox page, select the 'Download' button. If prompted to sign up or sign in to Dropbox, choose the 'Continue with download only' option at the bottom of the prompt. This will download a Zip File called Patch Files.zip. When you double click to unzip the file, it will create a folder called Patch Files which contains three files. All three of these files are needed for the update. Make a note of where this file is saved.
    2. On the IQ Pro, connect via the IQ Installer App, then go to Configuration > Upgrade Software > "Manual Upgrade".
    3. Follow the prompts on your phone, tablet, or computer screen to select the correct files and transfer them to the panel.
    4. Once the files have been loaded to the IQ Pro, it will begin the update process.
    5. The panel will reboot.
    6. Reconnect with the IQ Installer App to verify the updated version.
