Power Supply for ADC 729 Spotlight Cameras
Description
The Alarm.com ADC-PSU-24V2A is a replacement power supply designed for the ADC-V729 outdoor floodlight camera. It's for the DC and PoE versions (when PoE is not available) and provides the 24V DC power required to the camera and its integrated floodlights.
This power supply is useful when the original power supply is lost, damaged, or no longer functioning properly. It provides a direct replacement option for the DC-powered ADC-V729, helping restore normal camera operation without replacing the entire camera.
The ADC-PSU-24V2A provides 24V DC at 2A. The 9-foot cable gives installers additional flexibility when positioning the power supply in relation to the camera. The output uses a 5.5 × 2.5 mm barrel connector for connection to compatible equipment.
The power supply can also be used with the Alarm.com ADC-VC729P when PoE++ is not available. The ADC-VC729P can receive power from either a 24V DC, 2A power supply or a PoE++ connection. Standard PoE and PoE+ do not provide enough power for this camera.
The ADC-PSU-24V2A is specifically intended for the higher power requirements of the V729 series. The ADC-V729 uses 24V DC power rather than the 12V DC adapters commonly used with many other Alarm.com cameras. Using the proper 24V, 2A supply helps ensure that the camera and its floodlights receive adequate power.
For installations that require additional cable length, the Alarm.com ADC-VPE-729DC extension cable is also available. It is designed for use with the ADC-V729 and ADC-VC729P power connection.
The ADC-PSU-24V2A is a practical replacement for maintaining an existing ADC-V729 installation or powering an ADC-VC729P when a suitable PoE++ connection is not available.
