DSC FSB-210BT

The DSC FSB-210BT 2-Wire Addressable Photoelectric Smoke and Heat Detector will monitor a residential or commercial building for a fire. It is recommended that at least one smoke detector be installed on each floor of a building. A great place for smoke detectors is outside of bedrooms.

There are advanced features included with the FSB-210BT to improve its functionality. The device features automatic drift compensation to allow it to work properly when it experiences dust accumulation. If the buildup reaches the compensation limit, the device will alert the system to the trouble. This way, the user will know to clean the device. Cleaning the device is made easy, thanks to a removable smoke chamber. Additionally, self-diagnostic functions allow end users to quickly troubleshoot the device and restore it to proper working order.

Please note that this version of the smoke detector comes with a fixed temperature heat sensor that activates at 135 degrees Fahrenheit. There is also a version of this smoke detector without a heat sensor, the DSC FSB-210B. Users should also be aware that this is an addressable device, and it must be wired appropriately to achieve proper function.

Photoelectric smoke detectors work with an alarm system, and when properly maintained and tested, can last for an indefinite period and do not automatically require replacement after a certain period of time like smoke alarms and CO detectors do.
