Honeywell 945-BR

The Honeywell 945 is a surface mounted magnetic contact for protecting doors and windows with a wired alarm system. The 945 is an adhesive mounted contact, meaning it does not require any screws or drilling into your door or window frames. The 945 also comes with a 15 foot zip cord lead wire that connects to the zone wires for your wired alarm control panel.

The Honeywell 945 is a standard contact that is compatible with Honeywell’s VISTA line of wired security systems, but can be used with any hardwired alarm panel. Like most contacts, the 945 comes in two parts, a reed switch, and matching magnet. The switch should be mounted on the door frame or window frame, and has the wired leads coming from it. The magnet should be mounted on the door or window, opposite the contact when in the closed position. When the door or window opens, the magnet will move away from the contact, causing an alarm event if your system is armed. The standard gap between the contact and magnet should be no more than 1¼” when in the door or window is closed.

The Honeywell 945 is an easy to mount contact, with an adhesive strip already applied to the back of the contact and magnet. The 945 comes in two colors to match the décor of your installation area. The 945WH is white, and the 945BR is brown. Be sure to select your desired color when ordering, as the default color selection is the 945WH white contact.
