The Honeywell IS2500LT is a passive infrared (PIR) low temperature motion detector. The IS2500LT is the best option in the Honeywell IS2500 series for installations where the motion detector may be exposed to freezing temperatures. The IS2500LT can handle temperatures down to -40 degrees Fahrenheit. The IS2500LT is also selectable for both sensitivity and range, as three different lenses come with the sensor.
When mounting the IS2500LT, you have the option of installing the standard 35’ x 40’ lens, the 60’ x 80’ wide angle lens, or the curtain lens, all of which come with the motion detector. The IS2500LT is also equipped with four DIP switch selectable sensitivity settings to match your needed application and desired coverage pattern. Remember to avoid A/C and heating vents, windows and any other item that may move when directing the lens of the motion detector. You should always walk test the device after installation to ensure that it is functioning properly, and that the areas you intended have adequate coverage.
The Honeywell low temperature motion sensor installs with a four wire connection, two for the 12V auxiliary output of the alarm panel, and two wires for the zone data. The IS2500LT draws a maximum of 20mA of power from the auxiliary circuit. The IS2500LT PIR is also equipped with advanced dual slope temperature compensation to help prevent false alarms.
The IS2500LT is compatible with most wired security systems, and is the ideal low temperature motion detector for Honeywell’s VISTA series control panels. The IS2500LT is ideal for garages, sheds, warehouses or other spaces that are non-climate controlled in regions where freezing temperatures are common. Don’t let rooms or buildings where freezing temperatures are common go unprotected anymore with the IS2500LT low temperature motion detector.
