Description

The Resolution Products RE224TH is a wireless translator designed to continuously convert 2GIG (345MHz) RF signals to Honeywell RF signals. This is a perfect solution for those looking to use 2GIG wireless sensors with a Honeywell wireless alarm system. If you have a LYNX Touch L5200 or a wireless receiver such as the 6160RF with a Honeywell VISTA series panel you can integrate 2GIG sensors using this translator! The translator supports any 2GIG door/window contact, glass break, motion, key fob or panic. It will not support any life safety devices such as smoke/heat or CO detectors. The sensors are to be auto-enrolled directly into the Honeywell panel. Mount the translator at least 20 feet from the panel. The RF range is limited to that of the specific sensor, no more and no less.

The RE224TH pulls power from a standard 120VAC power outlet using the included 12VDC, 50mA transformer. This is to be wired to the internal screw terminals to the lower left of the batteries. Polarity does NOT matter. The back up batteries are 3 AAA alkaline batteries which provide up to 72 hours of backup power in the event of AC power loss. There are two antenna that are to be connected to the screw terminals on the top of the device. They are to protrude out of the top of the unit for better reception are dual-diversity receivers and transmitters. This means they both can receive and transmit and 2GIG and Honeywell wireless signals. After the translator is powered up, it immediately begins to translate without any enrollment with the Honeywell alarm system.

You will need to program the translator as a zone on the Honeywell panel in order to receive low battery, tamper cover and RF supervision trouble alerts. Assign Zone Type 8: 24 Hr Aux with Input Type: 3 (RF) set to Loop 2. Then enter auto-enrollment mode on the Honeywell panel and trigger the tamper switch inside the translator. Do this three times to lock in the serial and loop number.
