This FAQ was released before the release of the Lynx Touch (L5100 V2, L5200, L5210 and L7000) and Lyric Controller which now support garage control via 5877 on Total Connect 2.0. For those that are confused about the first question above this is an outdated answer and is referring to Total Connect 1.0. The 5877 does support garage control for the Lynx Touch and Lyric touchscreen systems via TC2.0.

5877 Relay Receiver
Does the 5877 Relay Receiver work with Honeywell Total ConnectTM Remote Services? How many keyfobs can a 5877 Relay Receiver hold?
No, it only works with 5800 Series keyfobs.
Up to seven wireless keyfobs can be enrolled into the module.
Does the 5877 Relay Receiver need power?
Yes, there is a 12V transformer included.
Can the 5877 Relay Reciever be mounted outside?
No, it is designed for indoor use only.
What does the LED light do?
When learned into a panel with 5800 Series wireless, the LED light follows the status of the panel.
What if I have more than one garage door?
Purchase a 5877 Relay Receiver for each garage door. They are cost-effective and easy to install.
