SkyBell DBCAM & DBCAM-TRIM - Total Connect 2.0 Integration Guide Dated 03/2016

Initially the Skybell HD worked only on iOS devices. As you can see, Honeywell has updated the programming but the not the manual yet. We will upload an addended document when it becomes available.
I have Skybell installed and runnnig on Andriod smartphone. Why does this manual say iOS only??

How-to videos can be viewed from the SkyBell app. Press Watch Installation Video; this action launches
your device’s browser and opens the SkyBell website (
The website offers detailed installation information including mounting, power and doorbell connections.
• An iOS mobile device running the
most recent
Total Connect 2.0 app. (At present, SkyBell operation with

Honeywell Total Connect 2.0 is supported only on iOS.)

– The installer’s device must be connected to a 2.4 GHz router operating in B/G mode
• SkyBell operation requires full-time Internet connection with at least 1.5 Mbps upload speed
• The SkyBell HD app (be sure to download the correct version)
• SkyBell must be added to the customer’s Honeywell Total Connect 2.0 account in AlarmNet

Video Doorbell Service

Video Doorbell Service
checkbox and click
6. Confirm that the Video Doorbell Service field now displays
“Doorbell Basic”

Wireless doorbells and intercoms are not compatible with SkyBell.
– Connection to a mechanical doorbell (physical chime) requires no changes
– Connection to a digital doorbell (speaker instead of chime) requires SkyBell’s Digital Doorbell

In the rare case where SkyBell is installed without a doorbell, a 10 ohm/10 watt resistor must be
connected between the power supply and the device.

Honeywell Total Connect 2.0
The Total Connect 2.0 app will not display SkyBell setup options unless Video Doorbell Service is added

to the account in AlarmNet 360™ as shown above.
If prompted for registration during the installation process, provide the customer’s information. If you

are registering SkyBell from scratch, be sure to give the customer any password you create.
1. Press and hold the device’s large SkyBell button until it blinks alternating red and green
2. Launch the Total Connect 2.0 app on your iOS device
3. Press the
button on the app’s navigation bar
4. Honeywell Total Connect 2.0 prompts to launch the SkyBell app. Press
5. Choose
Set up my SkyBell
6. Press
Add a new SkyBell
and on the next screen,
OK let’s begin
Follow the app’s instructions and open your device’s Wi-Fi
settings when prompted. Do not close

the SkyBell app at this time.
The new SkyBell appears as an available Wi-Fi connection. Select it and wait for your device to finish
connecting (a checkmark appears next to the connection).
9. Return to the SkyBell app. Wait a moment for it to advance to its next screen.
10. The customer’s router/network appears in a list of available Wi-Fi signals
11. Select the customer’s network and press
12. When prompted, enter the customer’s router/network information and press
13. SkyBell HD is connected to the customer’s network
The sync process may require more than one attempt to connect. Use the
Try Again

on the SkyBell app.
If Registering After Installation
If SkyBell has already been installed and connected, launch the Total Connect 2.0 app, press

and then select
Attach my SkyBell
1. Enter the customer’s information
