Description

The ELK 9200 is a heavy duty relay/contactor that is designed to offer automated control of high voltage loads. The relay offers an input from the electrical panel and output to the powered device. There is a 3-prong power cable that comes with the kit. This cable needs to be plugged into a controllable appliance module (sold separately). This is a single outlet receptacle that plugs into standard 110VAC outlet. The most popular protocol is Z-Wave but Zigbee or any other protocol will work as well. When the appliance module is off the ELK 9200 cuts off power to the high voltage load. Vice Versa, when the appliance module is turned on the relay allows the high voltage to pass through the relay, thus powering the high voltage load.

In essence, you can toggle power to any 110 or 220VAC load by simply toggling an automation appliance module from an automation controller. For example, if you have a L5100, L5200 or L7000 LYNX Touch you can use the L5100-ZWAVE controller to include the appliance module and integrate it into scenes, rules and scheduling. Same thing goes for the VISTA Automation Module (VAM) and the Tuxedo Touch WIFI for compatible Honeywell VISTA series alarm panel. By automating this relay, you can setup scheduled control and integrated trigger points to toggle power to any high voltage device!

**Please note: This will not work with a lamp dimmer module since it only has a two prong outlet (ungrounded) and the prefabricated cable on the ELK has a three prong connection. It is grounded for a reason so do not use a lamp dimmer with 3 to 2 prong converter.**
