GRI MM-10

The GRI Mighty Mag MM-10 is a rare Earth magnet measuring 1/4" in diameter and 3/4" in length. It is best-suited for use with a recessed sensor that matches its 1/4" diameter. It should be installed in the moving door or window structure and aligned with the sensor. Test after installation.

The great thing about rare Earth magnets is that they offer impressive strength. This is important for making sure that the sensor knows when the door or window is closed. The sensor will have an internal metal reed switch that should remain in a closed position when the door or window is closed. Once you open the door or window, the magnet will become separated from the sensor. This will release the metal reed switch and tell the sensor to alert the system.

You should use the MM-10 with a recessed door and window sensor with a 1/4" diameter. The sensor and the magnet must be properly aligned. You can use the MM-10 with nearly any door or window that will support its 3/4" length. The sensor and magnet combination should always be tested once installation is complete.
