Description

The Honeywell 5881ENHC is a wireless receiver that is Underwriters Laboratories (UL) listed for commercial fire and/or burglary applications. The 5881ENHC is a great addition to any Honeywell commercial security system as it allows the wireless installation of burglary or fire devices in commercial UL applications. When it is impossible or simply too costly to wire security or fire devices back to your commercial fire or security system, use the 5881ENHC with Honeywell 5817CB commercial transmitters to easily add manual pull stations, tamper valves, water flow valves, motion detectors, remote duct detectors and door and window sensors wirelessly.

The Honeywell commercial wireless receiver has front and back tamper protection to comply with commercial fire and burglary installations. When the Honeywell 5881ENHC is used in commercial fire applications, you must set DIP switch 5 to the on position. With DIP switch 5 on, the signal sentry feature is enabled which reduces the radio frequency (RF) gain during RF supervision reception to ensure all wireless devices will work under all conditions.

As most Honeywell commercial fire or burglary security systems support more than one RF receiver, you can add multiple 5881ENHC wireless receivers to provide redundant coverage or expand the wireless coverage area for large properties. Make sure to set a different device address for each wireless receiver installed on your commercial fire or security system. The device address is set by DIP switches 2-4. Refer to the installation guide of your Honeywell fire or security system to determine which device address to use with your 5881ENHC wireless receiver.

Similar to the Honeywell 5881ENH, the 5881ENHC supports as many wireless zones as the alarm control panel that it is connected to will allow. All Honeywell 5800 series wireless devices are compatible with the wireless receiver. You should expect to get 200' nominal wireless range between your 5881ENHC and any programmed wireless transmitter.
