The 5800MINIV is a single-zone transmitter with a built-in magnetic contact. When the protected door or window is opened, the magnet separates from the sensor and the device transmits the appropriate signal to the security system. A magnet is included, making the sensor ready for installation without requiring a separate magnetic contact.

The 5800MINIV provides more than basic open-and-close detection. It transmits supervisory, tamper, and low-battery signals to help the security system monitor the condition of the sensor. Case tamper protection helps alert the system if the sensor housing is opened or disturbed.

The sensor is powered by a 3VDC CR2450 coin cell battery, which is included. The CR2450 battery provides a convenient power source for the wireless transmitter while allowing the sensor to maintain its compact design.

The 5800MINIV is available in both white and brown versions. The standard 5800MINIV features a white housing, while the 5800MINIVBR provides a brown housing. Offering two color options makes it easier to select a sensor that blends with the surrounding door or window.
