The Honeywell MID-7H is an Android WiFi tablet for the Honeywell L5100 LYNX Touch wireless alarm control panel. The MID-7H is the first mobile internet device ever designed for use with a security system. The Android tablet has a preloaded application (app) called L5100 Connect which you can use to control your LYNX Touch wireless security system from anywhere in your home that has an active wireless internet connection. You can therefore use the Honeywell MID-7H as a remote alarm keypad for your L5100 alarm control panel. With the release of the Android MID-7H, Honeywell has once again revolutionized the alarm industry.
The Honeywell MID-7H tablet not only acts as a wireless alarm keypad for your Honeywell L5100 LYNX Touch wireless security system, but it can also be used to browse the internet and download other Android apps. With its large 7” touchscreen display, you will find yourself using your MID-7H mobile internet device for much more than controlling your LYNX Touch wireless security system.
If you want to use your MID-7H Android WiFi enabled tablet as an alarm keypad, your L5100 LYNX Touch requires either an AlarmNet ILP5 internet alarm communicator or the L5100-WIFI alarm monitoring communicator. Once your LYNX Touch wireless security system is connected to your home network using one of these AlarmNet internet alarm communicators, it is a simple process to enroll the MID-7H as a L5100 controller. Make sure to turn on the WiFi feature of the MID-7H before using it as an alarm keypad. We recommend holding the MID-7H tablet horizontally (landscape orientation) when controlling your L5100 LYNX Touch wireless security system. You can connect up to (4) MID-7H Android tablets to your Honeywell LYNX Touch wireless alarm control panel.
If you have upgraded your L5100 LYNX Touch wireless security system with a Honeywell L5100-ZWAVE Z-Wave® controller, you can also use your MID-7H Android tablet to control your home’s lights, locks and thermostats. The Honeywell MID-7H tablet is an amazing device. It provides a second touchscreen L5100 display, controls your home’s automation devices and acts as a full featured mobile internet device. Also, if you are signed up for AlarmNet’s Total Connect 2.0 advanced interactive service, your MID-7H can provide weather, news and traffic updates through preloaded apps. Once you get your hands on the Android tablet, you won’t go anywhere in your home without your Honeywell MID-7H.
