Wireless 360 Degrees PIR Motion Detector for DSC Systems
Description
The Optex WFX-360DS is a ceiling-mounted PIR motion detector that is designed for use with DSC Alarm Systems. The device provides a coverage area of up to 40 feet, and it is mounted from a height of 8 to 12 feet up. It works by looking for changes in infrared energy that occur with motion.
When the WFX-360DS is activated, it will send an alert to the alarm panel. The system will then perform the programmed response, which can include alerting a central monitoring station. By using its OPTEX engineered hard spherical lens, the device provides accurate detection and protection against false alarms. Its temperature compensation feature allows the device to detect human movement in ambient temperatures that are close to that of the human body.
RFI (radio frequency interference) keeps the device working properly even when other wireless devices of similar frequency are used in the area. The device also has an adjustable pulse count so that users can configure the device's sensitivity as needed. An LED light confirms device power, and it stays running using a lithium CR123A battery. Its maximum battery life is 7 years.
