Honeywell Home PROWLTOUCHWA

The Honeywell Home PROWLTOUCHWA is a redesigned wall mount for ProSeries touchscreen keypads. It increases stability in comparison to the PROWLTOUCHWM. Because of this, though, it is no longer an option to mount to a single-gang box. The PROWLTOUCHWA also gives more flexibility in mounting locations. When wiring to the PROWLTOUCHWM, the 18-gauge wire length maxed out at 34 feet. With the PROWLTOUCHWA that increases to 174 feet, and now permits use of 16-gauge wire to run it up to 277 feet.

The Honeywell Home PROWLTOUCHWA is an improved remodel of the discontinued PROWLTOUCHWM. It is compatible with all the ProSeries touchscreen keypads. This includes the VISTAHTCHWLC, PROWLTOUCH, and the PROWLTOUCHC. The increased maximum distance of the power wire run is a big plus. It also reduces the movement of the keypad when it is docked. Interacting with the cradled keypad feels more stable with the new design.

The design also allows the PROWLTOUCHWA to use new power wire options. It can be powered using 16-gauge wire and two (2) 22-gauge wires twisted together. Exceeding the wiring limits and options is not recommended and can result in unpredictable behavior.
