How do I get into programming mode on my VISTA 20P?

hi this is Bryce from alarm grid and today we're going to be learning about how to get into programming on a Vista 20p a lot of people like to add sensors change entry delay times different things of that nature and it's usually a bit more tedious to do with the mister 20p especially because of the keypads that you're able to use and just what you have to do to get into programming so today we're going to be learning how to do that so to get into programming with a vista 20p the normal way will be pressing 4 1 1 2 8 0 0 if you have an alphanumeric keypad you will then see the panel go I see 20 if you have a numeric keypad then you will just see the keypad say 20 you can do normal programming with a numeric keypad 20 but you're not able to do deep level programming as in choosing communication paths etc so we usually recommend using a alphanumeric keypad when doing deep level programming or programming in general just so that you won't be programming blindly because with the numeric keypad even though you can do get into the same fields you won't be able to see the same menu options the next way to get into the next way to get into programming is called the backdoor mat fit the back door method is a way that some people used to get into programming if they weren't giving their installer code by their last monitoring company they moved into a house and don't know the monitoring don't know the monitoring the programming code or they don't have a master code and you can also reset the master code with the installer code you just have to get in the program first to change the installer code so to you the backdoor into the panel what you have to do is you have to pull one leg off the battery then you have to unplug the transformer after you do that you plug the transformer back up and then the panel you have 50 seconds to get back to your alphanumeric keypad so that you press and hold-down start and pound once you press and hold-down star and pound on the on the keypad it should say I see 20 or 20 like I mentioned earlier if you by chance here a long beat that means you're a lot out of programming or whoever with monitoring before made sure you're not ever able to get into programming which unfortunately means that you have to buy a new panel you have to do backdooring with the vista with the numeric or alphanumeric keypad you're not able to do it with a tuxedo touch because it takes way too long for it to boot up so by the time that it gets up and you into console mode you're 50 seconds that you have to use the press the star and pound or up in use if you found this video helpful please hit the like and subscribe button if you want notifications whenever we do post a video please hit the bell so that we're able to send you a notification every time we post a video if you need any help getting into programming or need help with programming you can contact us at eight eight eight eight one eight seven seven two eight or you can send us an email to support at alarm grid comm by Dell liars
