T-Rex Arm-Disarm Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus

Description

In this video, T-Rex from Alarm Grid teaches you how to arm and disarm the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus System. Arming and disarming the panel is something that you will likely have ro do on a daily basis. Knowing how to arm and disarm from the panel is essential for using the Qolsys IQ Panel Plus System.

When the system is disarmed, only 24-Hour zones and emergency panics will be able to cause an alarm on the system. Most security sensors can only cause alarms when the system is armed. There are two (2) main arming types for the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus System. These are Arm Away and Arm Stay. You should use Arm Away only when there is nobody left inside the building. When Armed Away, Interior sensors will be active and able to cause system alarms. But if you Arm Stay, then Interior sensors will be bypassed. Arming Stay is appropriate when there will be one or more people left inside the building, and you don't want them to trip the security system.

In addition to arming at the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus System itself, you can also arm and disarm using a security key fob, using an IQ Remote Keypad, or from Alarm.com. In order to use Alarm.com, you Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus must have active alarm monitoring service. This requires a compatible monitoring plan with an alarm monitoring company. Remember that Alarm.com will require you to activate the system's built-in cellular communicator. However, the T-Rex can never arm or disarm the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus. This is because the T-Rex has too short arms, and it cannot reach the system. The T-Rex is also unable to access the Alarm.com platform for arming and disarming the IQ Panel 2 Plus remotely.
