[LOCKING SOUND] Hi, DIYers. I'm Jorge from Alarm Grid. Today I'm going to be showing you guys how to view a live video feed from your alarm.com cameras on your Qolsys IQ Panel 2 or your Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus. Now, the very first thing that you need to keep in mind-- if you're planning on doing the live video feed to the actual Qolsys IQ Panel 2, you need to make sure that the panel is up-to-date. As long as the panel is on firmware version 2.2.1, and as long as the cameras are on the latest firmware version, then you should be able to live stream the cameras. But you also need to make sure that you're using the correct cameras. There are some alarm.com cameras that give you live view and two-way audio. And then there's also some cameras that just give you live streaming, but they don't give you the two-way audio. In the FAQ that's associated with this video, there will be a list of all the alarm.com cameras that work with two-way audio and live streaming. And then there's also a list that work with just live streaming but no two-way audio. So you want to make sure, when you're buying cameras, you take a look at this list, as that list will literally have all the alarm.com cameras that will show you which feature can work whenever you get them monitored. Now, one important thing that you will need-- remember, the video cameras are Wi-Fi cameras. So you need to have Wi-Fi on-site. If you don't have any Wi-Fi on-site, it will not work. The other thing-- you need to make sure your panel is also connected to the Wi-Fi. If the panel's not connected to the Wi-Fi, the video will not stream to the panel. Now, if you guys already have an IQ 2 Plus, you guys have it activated and monitored, you guys need to make sure you're also on the correct plan. You need to be on a video plan. If you're with Alarm Grid, that's going to be one of our Platinum Level plans. So if you're looking at-- if you're interested in being monitored with us, or if you're already monitored with us, you need to make sure you're on the correct plan so we can enable the video service to the panel and so that you can actually live stream the cameras to either the panel or to your alarm.com application. Now, the first thing we want to go ahead and do to get started on this is we want to make sure that the panel has a good connection to the Wi-Fi. And we're going to go ahead and do a Wi-Fi test. So to do that, we're going to hit the little top button. We're going to go to Settings, which is bottom left. And then we're going to go to Advanced Settings. (FROM PANEL) Enter user code. From here, you can either use your installer code or your dealer code. My default installer code is 1111. And my default installer code is 2222. Now, if you've already been monitored with another company, or if you've changed these codes on your own, you're going to want to use the correct codes. I'm going to use my installer code, 1111. And if you're taken to this screen, perfect. You're going to go to System Tests. From there, I'm going to go to a Dual Path Wi-Fi Test. And I'm going to test. I'm going to hit Start, and it will say Wi-Fi communication test started. It'll say Wi-Fi communication path tested successfully. Call central station to check reports if needed. So if you're being monitored by a central station, and you want to make sure your signals went through, you can call your alarm company or your central station. Just let them know that you want to check the signals to make sure they came in. All right, you'll see Dual Path is enabled. I'm using cellular and Wi-Fi, and the Wi-Fi status is showing connected. So that's perfect. We now know that the IQ 2 is connected to the Wi-Fi. Now, the next thing we need to do is make sure that our cameras are connected to the Wi-Fi. Now, to do this, you can either call your alarm company and have them check to see if your cameras have an active connection. You can also check on your alarm.com website or application to check the connection of your cameras. Or today, I'm actually working with an alarm.com ADC-V522IR. Every single alarm.com camera will usually have a status light. My status light is showing green right now, showing that it's connected. You're going to want to look at the manual. Sometimes you'll have blinking lights. Sometimes you'll have a different color light. Sometimes it's non-color light. You just want to make sure you look at the manual and see what each of these lights mean. For this camera, the green light, if it's steady, means that it has an active Wi-Fi connection. I'm going to go in and put this camera down. This is going to be the one that we'll be using today to live stream to the panel. So after you make sure that your camera has a good Wi-Fi connection and it is connected, so now we actually have to enable the live video stream to the panel. Now, to do this, you need to have an active alarm.com plan. Like I told you guys before, if you're with Alarm Grid, it needs to be a Platinum Level plan that includes video monitoring. All right? Now, you cannot use the alarm.com application to enable the live streaming to the panel. You actually have to go to the website. So if you're on a computer, if you're on a tablet, on your phone, you're going to want to go to the alarm.com website, either through using Chrome, Safari, or whatever web browser you're using. But it will not work through the actual application that you downloaded, so you have to use a browser. All right, so after you've entered in your login, username, and your password, you're going to hit Log In. And again, I'm doing this on a tablet. If you're doing this on a computer, phone, just make sure you're using a web browser to go to the website. Now, from here, you get the web view of alarm.com. In the top left corner, you're going to see the Menu button. This might be because I'm doing it on the tablet. If you guys are doing it on the phone, you'll probably see it, too. If you're doing it on a computer, you might actually see already the bar on the left-hand side. And when you open up the Menu button, you need to go to Video. Now, when you go to Video, you're given a couple of options at the very top. You need to hit Settings. And when you hit Settings, very bottom, you're going to see stream video to security panel screen. Now, normally you would have the camera there, and it wouldn't be enabled. So you would have to check the camera. And mine is already checked, but you would check the camera. And you would hit Save. After you hit Save, the alarm.com, it has to send the command down to the panel to enable the live video stream to the alarm system. So you want to give it a couple of seconds. If you don't see it right away, that's completely fine. I'm just going to go ahead and back out to my Home screen on my alarm.com website. I'm going to place my tablet down here for a second. And within a couple of minutes, a couple of seconds, you should be able to swipe left on your Qolsys IQ Panel 2 or your 2 Plus. And you should be able to see the live video cameras. Now, when you're looking at the live video cameras, if you hit Play, it will show you the live video stream. It will say connecting. Once it's fully connected, it'll show the video footage. And it'll even show the audio on the IQ 2 Plus. You can lower the volume, which I'm going to do for now. And then sometimes, you may also experience some network connection issues, which you see mine says Check Power, Check Connection. So I'm just going to hit the x. But basically, when you're doing the live video streaming on the IQ Panel 2 Plus, it'll allow you to view the cameras. And then you can adjust the volume. And the top right, if you have the two-way audio enabled, you can actually click on the Talk button here. Give me a second. That little green button on the top right-- that will allow you to talk to the IQ Panel 2, so then you can talk to your cameras. I'm just going to go ahead and hit the red button to end the video stream. Now, one important thing to notice-- if you guys are viewing the cameras on your IQ Panel 2, and somebody just happens to arm the system Away or Stay, it'll exit out of the live video feed, all right? So that's something to keep in mind whenever you guys are looking at the live video feed and it cuts out. If somebody's arms the system to Stay or Away, it'll close the video out. One other important thing that you need to make sure that you're doing is you want to make sure-- if it's two-way audio, you need to make sure you enable the two-way audio. Just the same way that we enabled the stream to the panel, you also need to enable the audio. And right now I only have one camera, but if you guys have multiple cameras, you would have seen the multiple cameras come up when we enabled it on the actual website. Now, if you guys have any questions about how to enable the live video feed to your Qolsys IQ Panel 2 or your IQ 2 Plus, please send us an email to support@alarmgrid.com. If you found the video helpful, make sure you hit Like underneath, subscribe to the YouTube channel, and hit the little bell icon to enable notifications so when we upload new content, you get notified.
