Brilliant BHP120US-WH1

The Brilliant BHP120US-WH1 is a smart plug that turns any device you plug in, into a smart device. With the Brilliant Smart Plug, you can use schedules and timers to control your AC-powered device. The Smart Plug communicates with a Brilliant Control via Bluetooth Low Energy Mesh (BLE Mesh). Once configured, you can control your device using voice via Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, or Google Home.

In addition to being an inexpensive and simple way to expand your smart home, the Brilliant Smart Plug also acts as a mesh network booster, improving connectivity between other BLE Mesh Brilliant devices, such as Brilliant Controls, Brilliant Dimmer Switches, and other Smart Plugs. In order to use the Brilliant Smart Plug, at least one (1) Brilliant Control must be installed.

Most Brilliant integrations use WIFI and a server-to-server connection. An example of this would be the Brilliant integration with Total Connect 2.0. Once the TC2 account has been created and has a Username and Password, then the Brilliant system can use that login information to access Total Connect 2.0 using WIFI. Brilliant can then control the alarm system. Brilliant talks to the Total Connect 2.0 server via the web. None of your security devices are configured directly with the Brilliant system. The integration is super fast and reliable.

Another source of integration is SmartThings. Many of the manufacturers listed below must have their products first configured with a SmartThings hub. Then, they can be integrated with the Brilliant system using WIFI and a server-to-server connection. Examples of manufacturers whose products require this are Leviton and Lutron. The Brilliant BHP120US-WH1 is 4" H X 1" W X 1.1" D (103mm X 26mm X 30mm). Two (2) Smart Plugs can be used in a single two-outlet wall plug. A ground prong is required for the Brilliant Smart Plug to work properly.
