DSC LC-100-PI

The DSC LC-100-PI is a passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor with pet immunity for small animals weighing up to 55 pounds. This is a Form A sensor that uses normally closed wiring. The sensor includes various features that allow it to properly detect motion caused by human intruders.

One of the most important functions of a PIR motion sensor is to be able to actively distinguish between motion caused by humans and motion caused by alternative sources. In other words, the sensor shouldn't respond to motion that occurs in the background or is caused by pets. The DSC LC-100-PI accomplishes this using digital signal analysis and Quad Linear Imaging Technology. By carefully analyzing any movement, the sensor can properly recognize the shape of the human body and respond accordingly.

The pulse count on the DSC LC-100-PI is configurable, and it can be adjusted by the user as needed. This allows the user to increase or decrease the detection sensitivity of the device based on the environment. The sensor features a maximum detection range of 49 feet, and this range can be adjusted if needed. For best results, the sensor should not be pointed towards reflective surfaces or areas with high levels of air flow. It should also not be placed in the path of direct or reflected sunlight. The device's tamper switch will alert the system if anyone tries to open or disable the sensor while the system is armed.
