ELK-319PIRC

The ELK-319PIRC is a 360° ceiling mount motion. It operates on the 319.5MHz wireless frequency. It is compatible with ELK M1, ITI/Interlogix and Qolsys alarm systems. It has a detection area of 14' (8' height) - 40' (12' height). This is area is dependent on the specific mounting height.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In our testing, this did not function as desired on a Simon XTi5 or a Resideo/Honeywell Home PROA7PLUS(C), with a PROTAKEOVER module set for 319.5MHz.

The ELK-319PIRC has 360 degree coverage and mounts to ceilings. It uses Passive Infrared (PIR) to detect movement within its detection area. It has the capability of masking to eliminate areas that do not want monitored. The ELK-319PIRC includes a tamper switch to alert of unwanted removing of the sensor. Beside the alarm and tamper signals, it also communicates supervision and low battery signals.

The ELK-319PIRC should should enroll based on your alarm system's wireless programming instructions. The motion should use zone loop 1. Within the motion, you can adjust the sensitivity between 2 or 3-event detection. This is selectable by the placement of the jumper on the J70 pins. On the S2 pins, you can choose to remove that jumper to disable the LED. It is on by default and is needed for the visual walk test. Disabling the LED after the test will prolong the battery life.

When mounting the 360° motion, you must be mindful of the:

• 12-foot max mounting height.
• It is not supported on sloped ceilings.
• It is for indoors only.
• You must also avoid areas with pets.
• Do not mount neat ceiling fans or HVAC ducts.
• Do not mount on metal surfaces.
• Avoid direct sunlight.
• Ensure it's mounted within 100' from the receiver or panel and that it's mounted to a solid surface.
