It is a serial polling loop device with a connected 5' 2-conductor wire for making the connection. the included magnet would install into the door or window. The 4191SN-WH measures 2.01" long x .5"diameter. The magnet measures 1.7" long x .5"diameter. Be sure to buy the optional 4191WA when installing into a steel door.
