Qolsys QR0050-840

Those needing to replace the stock backplate cover for the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 or Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus can get the QR0050-840. This is the exact same backplate that originally comes with the IQ2 and IQ2+. You can mount it to a wall, or you can attach the IQ Stand 2 for desk mounting.

With the IQ Panel 2 or IQ Panel 2 Plus properly secured to the Qolsys QR0050-840 Backplate, the system's internal wires and components will not be exposed. This will also prevent the system from showing any cover tamper trouble conditions. Some users have found it to be a bit tricky to close the IQ2 and secure the panel on its backplate. When closing the IQ Panel 2 or IQ Panel 2 Plus, start by positioning the four (4) upper tabs. You can do this by holding the panel approximately 45-degrees from the QR0050-840 Backplate and wiggling the top of the panel to position the tabs. Then click the lower portion into place. Both lower tabs should make a locking sound. Then you can secure the upper tabs. If you are still having trouble, then you may consider disabling the Panel Tamper setting in the Security & Arming Menu.
