Description

The PROSIXLCDBAT, offered by Resideo, is a replacement battery for the ProSeries PROSIXLCDKP push-button keypad and the LKP500 Lyric Keypad. It is a rechargeable Nickle Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery that provides 7.2 VDC @ 600 mAH.

This is the same battery pack as the LKP500-24B, and can provide 24 hours of standby power in the event of a primary power loss. Any device associated with an alarm system that has its own connection to AC power should have its own battery for those times when AC power is lost. The PROSIXLCDBAT is the battery for use with the PROSIXLCDKP and the LKP500 Lyric Keypad.

The life expectancy for this battery is around five (5) years, depending on use. The more the keypad has to run on battery power, the shorter the overall battery life. For this reason, be sure to observe any wiring limitations with regard to the length and gauge of the keypad's primary power wiring. Also, be sure to connect to an outlet that is not switched to prevent an accidental loss of power to the keypad.
