[AUDIO LOGO] Hey, DIYers, is Dylan here with Alarm Grid. Today's video we're going to be reviewing how to access the built in glass break sensor on your IQ Panel 4. So each system is going to have a built in glass break detector that you have the option to enable or not if you'd like to use it. This is going to be an audible glass break detector. So it will pick up the noise of glass breaking and then trigger an alarm if that is detected. So this can work with tempered, plated, or insulated windows as long as they are larger than 12 by 12 inches. That's going to be the minimum dimensions that will be picked up by this glass break detector. The detection range for this, so essentially how far the window can be from the panel is about 3 to 15 feet. You can adjust the sensitivity for this in the settings which I'll be showing you soon. So yeah, essentially 12 by 12 inches is the smallest plane. For this, 3 to 15 feet is going to be the detection range for that glass break detector. OK, so here's our IQ Panel 4. We're going to access the settings menu first to enable the glass break detector for the system. So first, we're going to go to the gray bar at the top. That's going to pull down our settings option. We'll press settings. We're going to go into advanced settings, right here and enter our installer code which we still have set as a default of 1, 1, 1, 1. After this, we're going to go into installation. And then installer settings. So with the installer settings you have the option to search for a specific setting. If you press this it will pull up a keypad, or you can simply just scroll. So what we're looking for here is the glass break detector option which is right here. So under auto learn, panel glass break detector, as you see ours is currently disabled. So very simple. Tap on the options. All right, so it's going to pull us in here like it would for any other zone programming. We can edit the glass break detector and how it's going to function. So our sensor group we have 17 which is going to have this active only on arm away, or we can do it to 13 so this will be active in either arm state, arm away, or arm stay. We'll keep it as 17 away only for now. You can also adjust the sensitivity level for this, normal or low sensitivity. So to avoid false alarms or if you have just a worry that this is going to detect something that isn't an actual window breaking you can set to low sensitivity. We'll just keep it as normal. We don't really need a chime for this. And voice prompts, again, you don't really need it because once this triggers it's going to trigger the alarm system. Sensor added successfully. So we'll save. We see that we have panel glass break detector. And we will back out. All right, so that is enabling the detector itself. Now, you do have some options to test this. We're going to review that in another video. But essentially, you can test this with a glass break simulator. That's usually going to be the best option. You can also do a sound detection which again we have another video reviewing which is going to be our closest panel test video. So be sure to check that out. OK, so that's the glass break detector for the IQ Panel 4. Pretty simple to set up. And like we reviewed, pretty good if you want that built in protection. But there are also compatible glass break sensors that you can purchase and pair with the system. But that's just going to be built right into the panel itself.
