Hey, DIYers. Dylan here with AlarmGrid. Today, we're going to review how to connect your Qolsys IQ Panel 4 up to a cellular connection for monitoring. So this is fairly simple. The panel will come with a cellular-based communicator already installed so you don't have to worry about ordering any extra parts or doing any installations for this. It's already built-in once you get the system. The cellular path is the main path, which is how the system will connect to monitoring and connect to the alarm.com service. When you're signing up with an alarm company, you want to make sure that they support this type of monitoring and that they support alarm.com. If they do, you're going to give them the IMEI number from the system. Once again, that's the IMEI number. That's going to be essentially how they connect to the panel and get it registered and start to send out alarm signals. So I'm going to show you how to get the IMEI number. So just assume that we're in the signup process. We've gone to a alarm company such as AlarmGrid to get set up for monitoring. And we're going to need to get the IMEI number so the company can connect with the system. So to get the number, there's a few possible ways. On the packaging of the system, the number is printed on there. We also have the number printed on the back of the system at the bottom right here. And if you already have this mounted and installed, you can also get the IMEI number through programming. So we're going to show you that right now. So for this, we're going to go to the top gray bar. Go into Settings. We're going to go into Advanced Settings. Enter user code. And we're going to enter the installer code. The default installer code for these systems is 1111. So we will go to the information or the about section right here. Press Cellular. And then you'll see the IMEI number is printed right there for us. So this is the number we're going to enter for our alarm company so they can find the system, connect with it. Get this set up for alarm.com and live monitoring as well. So that is how you get the IMEI number from the system so you can set that up for cellular-based monitoring with an alarm company. Fairly simple process. Once again, when you're signing up with the company, they're going to need that number so they can connect. Without that, they cannot connect to the system at all.
