[AUDIO LOGO] Hey, DIYers. This is Dylan with Alarm Grid. We're going to do a video on how to set up a scene in the Total Connect 2.0 website. We also have a video showing how to go through the application through your smartphone, but we're going to focus on the website today. All right, so we are logged in here on the Total Connect 2.0 website. We already have everything set up, so we do have the automation option. And we have paired a Z-Wave switch to our Lyric system earlier. So we're going to go here to the Scenes option. As you can see, we have some default options already set up for us, but we're going to create our own in this case. So we'll go up here to Add scene. And the first thing to do is enter a name for the scene. We'll be creating two scenes today, so this first one I'm going to call Test 1. And the scene trigger is essentially saying when or what is going to have this scene run. We have During a scheduled time, so you can select the date and time for this to run automatically. Triggered by a device-- the example given there is if a front door opens. So say if you have a couple of Z-Wave lights that you want to turn on once you enter your home, that'd be the type of scene you'd set up. And finally, the one that we'll be testing today is Manually. Fairly easy-- you just activate it directly through Total Connect 2.0. We're going to Continue. And the Scene Action is saying what's going to happen during this scene. In this case, we're going to go to the Others dropdown. We'll see the Z-Wave switch we had paired before. And we have one of our Lynx alarm systems connected to this. We're going to select the switch. In this first scene, we're going to tell it to turn the switch on. Continue, and then we have a little review here that shows the name, shows the trigger, and then shows the action. We'll save this. And then let's create our second scene while we're here as well, so back to Add scene. We're going to name this one Test 2. We're also going to do a Manually trigger. And then we'll also select the same switch. But in this case, we're going to set it to Off. And save once again. Perfect. All right, so we have our two scenes set up. Test 1-- as a reminder, this is going to turn on the Z-Wave switch we had set up. And then Test 2 is going to turn that switch off. So let's go ahead and run Test number 1. OK, that's activated our switch. And as you can see, our LYNX panel is now powering on, so we know that has worked properly. And then let's go ahead and turn that off. So again, Test number 2 we had set up. That's going to turn off the switch. Let's run that. Switch deactivated. And the panel has powered down, so both scenes work properly. We've tested both of them. You can also activate the scenes from the Lyric system itself. As you can see, right on the front, we have the Smart Scenes option. We're going to enter our code. Let's go to All. Let's just make sure-- they're showing there. And again, we had set these up in Total Connect 2. It synced automatically over to the Lyric, and let's just make sure that these run as well. So we're going to do Test number 1. As a reminder once again, this is going to turn on or Z-Wave switch, which is going to turn on our LYNX panel. Switch on shows on the Lyric. And then as you see, the LYNX panel is powering on. And then Test number 2, again, as a reminder, this is going to turn off our switch, which will turn off our LYNX panel. We get our confirmation on the Lyric screen. And as you can see, the LYNX panel has powered down as well. OK, so that is how you set up a scene through the Total Connect 2 website. As mentioned earlier, we do have another video reviewing the mobile version of this, so be sure to check that out. If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call at 888-818-7728.
