Aeotec DSD37-ZWUS

The Aeotec DSD37-ZWUS by Aeon Labs is a Z-Wave RF repeater. Z-Wave technology operates on a mesh network which means that nodes/devices can "hop" up to 4 times back to the controller. In most cases, dead spots in your network can be remedied by installing other Z-wave devices like lamp or appliance modules, light switches or dimmers. This repeater is an affordable alternative with a compact profile.

Just like any Z-Wave device the DSD37-ZWUS requires inclusion into the network. Once included it will automatically route signals back to the controller just like any other Z-Wave node. You want the device situated halfway between existing nodes or a node and the controller. For optimal operation, there should be no more than 25 way from node to node throughout your network.

Note: As an alternative, you can just use any Z-Wave plug-in lamp module to function as a Z-Wave repeater.
