Description

The Alarm.com ADC-V729AC is a hardwired outdoor floodlight camera designed for homeowners and businesses looking to replace an existing AC-powered floodlight with something far smarter. With its bright dual LED lamps and built-in 4MP camera, the V729AC delivers strong illumination and high-quality video in one device. This makes it a great choice for lighting up driveways, walkways, patios, and side entrances while adding reliable surveillance coverage at the same time.

Because it integrates directly with the Alarm.com platform, the ADC-V729AC gives users powerful tools for monitoring their property. Advanced Video Analytics help the camera distinguish between people, vehicles, and animals, allowing it to reduce false alerts and notify you only when something meaningful happens. All footage, alerts, and live views can be accessed in the Alarm.com app. If you’re new to the platform, you can check out What Is Alarm.com? to learn more.

The AC-powered design makes installation straightforward for anyone replacing an older wired floodlight. The camera mounts to a standard exterior electrical box and connects to your Wi-Fi network on either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz. Hi Dave, Looking at the installation instructions, it appears there is a swivel mount included for each component (2 lights and the camera). When mounting make observations about the orientation of the lights, as not to over saturate your video image with Light from the attached lights, as this will reduce your overall video quality. Check out the installation instructions link above for more information.
Regarding the http://Alarm.com ADC-V729AC...can it be mounted on a horizontal soffit? And, if able to mount it horizontally, can the lights and motion detector be directed downward and outward from the horizontal plane of the soffit? I have unique constraints for where I can access 120V wiring. Basically, the device would be mounted on a horizontal soffit surface that is elevated 10 feet above the ground so would need the lights and detector able to be directed downward (toward ground area) and outward (into yard) from the horizontal plane of the soffit. Thank you very much.
