HD cameras are a must-have for anyone wanting to achieve the ultimate security setup. They represent the best way to see exactly what is happening inside your home or business while you are away. These cameras connect to a network through an IP connection. This can be supplied through a hardwired ethernet connection or a wireless WIFI connection depending upon the camera. You can then view the camera through an interactive service platform like Total Connect 2.0 or Alarm.com.

With an HD security camera, you will be amazed with the quality of the live video feed. We have plenty of 720p cameras and 1080p cameras available to meet your needs. We also have cameras that offer great features like IR night vision, image adjustments, and more. There are also cameras specifically designed for outdoor use so that you can capture activity in any environment. Our outdoor HD cameras can make for a great addition to your alarm system.

When buying HD cameras for use with home or business security, you need to make sure that they are compatible with the interactive platform you are trying to build around. For example, if you have Total Connect 2.0, then you must use cameras that are designed for use with Total Connect 2.0. Likewise, if you have Alarm.com, then you need to find cameras that work with Alarm.com. There are plenty of HD cameras available for use with both platforms. Just make sure you get the right ones for your network.

It is important to remember that most alarm control panels do not allow you to livestream security cameras directly from the panel itself. Instead, you use a platform like Alarm.com or Total Connect 2.0 to view your cameras. You can do this from a website or through a mobile app on your smartphone. By using the corresponding mobile app, you can view your cameras from pretty much anywhere, at any time. This is great for quickly checking-in on your home or business and making sure that everything is okay. Also keep in mind that there are some systems that are an exception to this rule, and they will let you stream from the panel. One example is the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus System.

Since security cameras are typically used independently of security systems, you can technically have security cameras setup through Alarm Grid without even owning a security system. This is possible through our Video-Only Monitoring Plan. However, if you want true alarm monitoring service that includes video surveillance, then you will need to sign-up for a Platinum Level Monitoring Plan. All of our video plans allow you to receive alerts and notifications from TC2 or ADC regarding any activity for your security cameras. This is great for knowing immediately if your camera captured a clip and you want to quickly look at it to see what happened.
