Anyone with an existing Pico Remote who wants to mount the device to the wall can benefit from the Lutron Caseta Pico Remote Wallplate Adapter Bracket. This bracket allows you to mount either a Pico Remote for Lighting or a Pico Remote for Audio Control to the wall for easy access.
A Pico Remote can be used as a normal handheld remote and rested on a desk or a table. But some users may want to mount the remote to the wall and have it operate similar to a traditional 3-way lighting setup where two wall switches are controlling the same lighting load. That is where the Pico Remote Wallplate Adapter Bracket comes into play. The Pico Remote slides onto the bracket and is then held in place securely. This can be screwed to a high voltage or low voltage box. It can even be mounted using adhesive tape on the wall.
Once it has been programmed, the Pico Remote itself can be used to control a single Lutron In-Wall Dimmer Switch or a single Lutron Plug-In Dimmer Module. These devices can also be controlled remotely from the Lutron Mobile App or Apple HomeKit. Since the Honeywell Lyric Alarm System is compatible with Apple HomeKit (firmware update 1.07 required), a user can have their Lutron devices activate with security system events, such as arming and disarming.
In order to provide a neat and clean installation, a decora-style wall plate will be needed along with the Lutron Caseta Pico Remote Wallplate Adapter Bracket. The decora plate is purchased separately. The Lutron Claro plates are screwless and are designed to match the other Lutron Caseta lighting devices.
