Description
Included with this kit are the Qolsys IQ4 Hub PowerG panel with an integrated Verizon LTE cellular communicator and a built-in dual-band WIFI communicator. The kit also includes ten (10) DSC PG9303 door/window transmitters and one (1) DSC PG9914 PIR Motion detector. This is a nice kit for a home, office, or large apartment.
The Qolsys IQ4 Hub is a feature-rich alarm panel and automation controller, all-in-one. It has support for up to four (4) partitions and support for Z-Wave Plus 800 Series modules. The IQ4 Hub allows you to live stream Alarm.com video cameras and Live Answer the Alarm.com video doorbells. All this and more, right on the panel's 7" touchscreen.
The IQ4 Hub's integrated LTE and WIFI communicators are Alarm.com communicators. This allows the IQ4 Hub to take advantage of Alarm.com's interactive services. This includes remote arming and disarming, remote access, and control of Z-Wave devices, right from the remote app or customer website. Remote services require a monitoring plan that supports cellular communications. For Alarm Grid customers, this means a Gold (self or full) plan or higher. The IQ4 Hub uses an interface very similar to the IQ Panel 4. They heard the voice of the customer and removed a few features, which some users said they didn't want. This allowed the IQ4 Hub to become a more cost-effective option. The IQ4 Hub does not have the front-facing camera and it only supports one (1) wireless frequency for sensors. It still has a powerful Qualcomm SnapDragon 8-core processor and 16GB of memory. It supports up to 128 zones and 242 user codes.
This IQ4 Hub kit supports PowerG sensors as its only wireless frequency. PowerG sensors communicate at a frequency between 912 - 919 MHz and use 128-bit AES encryption. When used with the IQ Panel 4 and IQ4 Hub panels, they are rated at a transmitting range of about 4,000 feet in open air.
This kit includes ten (10) DSC PG9303 window or door sensors. These sensors have a low-profile design. The sensor has dimensions of 2.6" L x 1.2" W x 0.4" D and the included magnet is smaller still. That small footprint, along with its lightweight design, make the PG9303 a popular option. It is also equipped with an LED that indicates transmitting signal strength.
Also in this kit, is one (1) DSC PG9914 motion detector. The PowerG motion is a passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor with a detection coverage area of up to 39 feet. The motion measures 3.27" H x 2.4" W x 1.66" D and provides a front and back tamper switch. The Target Specific Imaging™ (TSI) technology allows the sensor to actively distinguish between humans and animals weighing up to 85 pounds. For pet-immune applications, be sure to follow all installation guidelines for best results.
