Included in this kit are the IQ4 Hub PowerG Security System with an integrated AT&T LTE Cellular Communicator and dual-band WIFI capability, ten (10) DSC PG9303 Door/Window Contacts, and one (1) DSC PG9914 Motion Detector. This is an excellent-sized kit, good for many applications.
Qolsys made the IQ4 Hub similar to the IQ Panel 4. They removed a few less-used features, which allowed the IQ4 Hub to become a more cost-effective option. Qolsys didn't take away the processing speed or the sleek look, which makes the IQ4 Hub an option with many modern features. It has a powerful Qualcomm SnapDragon 8-core processor and 16GB of memory. It supports up to 128 zones and 242 user codes.
The Qolsys IQ4 Hub is a security panel and automation controller in one. It has support for up to four (4) partitions and optional automatic Bluetooth disarming. It offers live streaming of Alarm.com video cameras to the panel's 7" touchscreen and supports Live Answer with the Alarm.com video doorbells. It has an integrated Z-Wave Plus Series controller with support for Z-Wave Plus 800 Series modules, and much more.
The IQ4 Hub's integrated LTE and WIFI communicators are Alarm.com communicators. Alarm.com requires that systems using their service have a cellular communicator registered. This means choosing a monitoring plan that includes cellular, which is usually slightly higher than an IP-only plan. Alarm Grid customers will select a Gold (Self or Full) plan or higher. For those customers not interested in remote control and automation, we offer the Cellular Alarm Monitoring plan as well. The IQ4 Hub uses Alarm.com interactive services for remote access and control.
This IQ4 Hub kit supports PowerG sensors as the only wireless frequency, whereas an IQ4 Panel would support PowerG plus another legacy RF frequency. PowerG sensors, communicate at a frequency between 912 - 919 MHz and use 128-bit AES encryption. When used with the IQ Panel 4 and IQ4 Hub panels, they are rated at a transmitting range of about 4,000 feet in open air.
This kit includes ten (10) DSC PG9303 window or door sensors. These sensors have a low-profile design. The sensor has dimensions of 2.6"L x 1.2"W x 0.4"D. The included magnet is even smaller. Its small footprint, along with its lightweight design, makes the PG9303 a popular option. The sensor is also equipped with an LED that will indicate transmitting signal strength.
Also in this kit, is one (1) DSC PG9914 motion detector. The PowerG motion is a passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor with a detection coverage area of up to 39 feet. The motion measures 3.27"H x 2.4"W x 1.66"D and provides tamper protection with a front and back tamper switch. The Target Specific Imaging™ (TSI) technology allows the sensor to actively distinguish between humans and animals weighing up to 85 pounds. Just be sure to follow all of the guidelines for installations with pets.
