[AUDIO LOGO] Hi DIYers, this is John. And today, I'm going to show you how to put your PROA7 and PROA7PLUS panels into local alarm mode. First of all, you want to touch the button down here at the bottom, hamburger button, that brings up this submenu. You need to slide down to get the Tools, press Tools. This brings up the keypad, you want to put in the installer code. It's important it's the installer code. The default installer on this panel is 4112. Local arm mode appears right here. And all you need to do to put it in the local arm is to slide this little slider. Now, it's going to ask you if you want to enable, you're going to say, yes. And here's the thing, the panel is going to reboot. So don't be surprised with that, it's going to reboot when you put it in, when you change this. All right. You should be aware that on this panel because it does so many things, it may take it up upwards of five minutes to go through a complete reboot cycle. So you just have to bear with it, it's doing quite a bit of stuff. Now, the system is back up, and don't worry about this low battery, this is from our previous demonstration, here's how you clear that. And that's all there is to going into local mode. Now, let me explain what local mode is and why you might want to use it. Local mode cuts off all monitoring of your panel. Alarms will go to your local sounder inside your house, and set off your siren, if you have one but it won't do anything else, it will not contact anyone, it will not contact the central station. It's a local noise maker, basically. The reason you might want to do this with this panel is because you might have gotten the panel and the system and you have it all set up, but your appointment to get it activated isn't for a few days, and you'd like to test it and work with it. If you don't put it into local mode, it is going to constantly tell you that it can't find the monitoring, which it can't because it's not there. So this basically tells it stop looking for monitoring because there isn't any, we're just working with the local bells and whistles that are literally here. So that's how you would put a PROA7 series panel into local mode. Questions, email us at support@alarmgrid.com or go to our website, alarmgrid.com.
