[AUDIO LOGO] Hey, DIYers. Dylan here with Alarm Grid. Today we're going to go over dual path monitoring for the IQ Panel 4. So what dual path means is that we're going to have this send out signals through both its cellular connection and its Wi-Fi connection. The cool thing about this panel is that both signals are going to be sent at the same time, and whichever signal is quickest is going to get to alarm.com first and get to your monitoring company. So we're going to just show real quick how to get the IMEI number from the system. That's going to be the cellular connection, and that's how your alarm company is going to connect with the system. And then I'll show real briefly how to go to the Wi-Fi menu for the actual connection process for Wi-Fi. We have another video reviewing that, so be sure to check that out. OK, so we have our IQ Panel 4 here. Let's just review how to get the IMEI number and how to find the Wi-Fi menu so you can get this connected to Wi-Fi as well. So as always, we're going to go to the top menu here. Oops, once again. OK, top menu, Settings, we're going to go to Advanced Settings right here. Enter user code. And you can use the installer code or the master code for these. Today we're just going to use the master code. We haven't changed our master code, so it's still set as the default of 1234. And we see right here we have the Wi-Fi option. So we're going to go to that in just a second. But first we're going to find the IMEI number for the system as that is more important to get this connected with alarm.com. So we're going to go to the About section, Cellular. And then right down there we have the IMEI number. And this is also located on the back of the panel. We'll show you that in just a moment as well. So that IMEI number, you're going to want to provide that to your monitoring company. That's how they're going to connect with the system and get that set up with alarm.com. Now, after the cellular connection is good, you have the option to connect to Wi-Fi as well if you want two paths of communication being sent out at the same time. So we're just going to back out of there. We see our Wi-Fi option. It's very important that you have this little checkbox marked up here, as that's going to allow the system to search for any local networks. We already have ours connected to our network right there. We have another video showing the process of getting that connected, but it's fairly simple. It's fairly similar to, say, if you are connecting with a computer. You're going to pull up the network. You're going to enter your password, save it, and then it will connect. OK, so that is dual path monitoring for the IQ Panel 4. We got the IMEI number, we sent that over to our alarm company. They connected with the system, and then we also got this connected to our Wi-Fi network that's going to be either over a 2.4 or a 5-gigahertz network. Either option works. So if you have a mesh network, this is perfect for you. If you did like the video, please like the video.
