How Do I Use the Microphone on the Honeywell Lyric C2?
To use the microphone on the Honeywell Lyric C2, you must access your Total Connect account and enable the microphone within the settings menu for that camera. Once the microphone has been set to enabled, it will begin capturing audio automatically whenever the camera begins recording.
The Honeywell Lyric C2 is a 1080p indoor WIFI camera that includes a built-in microphone for capturing audio. There is no need to add an external or secondary microphone to the device for recording audio. However, the microphone will not function if it is disabled from Total Connect. Additionally, the camera will need to be set up with an alarm monitoring plan that provides both Total Connect access and video surveillance. Both of the Platinum-level monitoring plans from Alarm Grid include these features.
Complete the following steps to enable the microphone for the Honeywell Lyric C2 on Total Connect:
1. Log-in to Total Connect. In order to change any camera settings, you must first log-in to your Total Connect account. Use the proper credentials to log-in to Total Connect.
2. Access the camera settings. On the left side of the screen, locate the "Cameras" tab. Click on this tab to access your cameras page. Find the Lyric C2 whose microphone you want to enable, and click on the gear icon for that camera. This will take you to the settings screen for that camera. This is shown in the picture below:
3. Enable the microphone. On the right side of the screen, you should see an "other features" tab. Click to expand the tab, if necessary. Under this tab, there will be a feature for "microphone". Enable this feature. You can see this in the following picture:
4. Save your changes. Find the blue Save button in the bottom-right corner of the page. Click on it to save your changes. The microphone on the Lyric C2 will now initiate recording whenever the camera is activated.
