The 2GIG GC3PK10 Kit offers a base set for a security setup in a larger home or a medium-sized business. In the pack, a user will receive a new 2GIG GC3 System, 10 door and window contacts, a motion sensor, and a Honeywell LT-Cable. Almost everything a new user needs is included.
The wireless all-in-one (AIO) 2GIG GC3 System provides exceptional functionality for any home or business. Its responsive, 7-inch touchscreen display makes navigating the system menus a convenient task. The touchscreen also makes arming and disarming incredibly simple. Users are particularly fond of the panel's excellent build-quality. We also like the panel's sleek and modern design and its thin profile of just 1.25 inches.
We recommend using the GC3PK10 Kit in larger homes and medium-sized businesses. Having 10 door and window contacts allows a user to monitor a larger building and cover virtually all major entryways. A motion sensor is also included, and it can be installed in a central interior area for detecting motion. With the ability to support up to 100 wireless zones, it will be extremely difficult for run out of space for new sensors on the GC3. The panel also supports up to 100 user codes, and codes can be conveniently named for tracking code usage.
The GC3 also comes with a built-in Z-Wave controller for operating Z-Wave smart home devices. And it has an integrated WIFI card for connecting to a WIFI network. But this GC3 Kit lacks a cellular communicator for accessing Alarm.com. Adding a cellular communicator is extremely important for getting the most out of a GC3 System. Alarm Grid offers standalone cellular modules for the GC3, as well a GC3 Kits that come with an included cellular communicator. We recommend obtaining an LTE communicator if possible, as it will provide the fastest speeds and the most reliable connection. Cellular service providers have promised to support their LTE networks for many years to come. By obtaining an LTE communicator, you are essentially future-proofing your panel, as older 3G cellular networks are slowly being phased out.
Once a compatible cellular communicator has been installed and activated, the panel will be able to connect with Alarm.com. This is an interactive service that a user can access to arm and disarm their system, check the current status of security sensors, control Z-Wave smart home devices and more. The service can be accessed from a web browser or remotely using the Alarm.com Mobile App. The mobile app can be downloaded for free on Android and iOS devices. And since the GC3 comes with a built-in Z-Wave Plus controller, Z-Wave devices can be added and used with Alarm.com with ease.
