SkyBell ADC-VDB105

Alarm.com has partnered with SkyBell to create the best doorbell camera on the market today. The ADC-VDB105 (satin nickel) and ADC-VDB106 (bronze) are the Alarm.com versions of the SkyBell Trim. These slimline HD video doorbells are excellent for replacing an old doorbell system with minimal space in terms of width beside the doorway. Unlike their round counterpart (ADC-VDB101 & ADC-VDB102) which operate at 1080P, the ADC slim doorbell cams can only transmit video at 720P. This is the one concession that was made by Alarm.com on this slimmer version.

Just like most video doorbell cameras it requires power (12VDC or 24VAC sold separately) and a 2.4GHz WIFI connection. Once you have finished pairing it to your network, you can inform your Alarm.com dealer that you are adding the camera and they will ensure you have the proper service package. This slimline doorbell camera also supports two-way voice functionality!

Note: This slimline doorbell camera model can only be used with the Alarm.com App. If does not have the ability to pair with the SkyBell App. This is unlike the round ADC model, which upon pairing with the SkyBell App and updating, will then lose its ability to be used with Alarn.com. But the slimline mode lacks the capacity to pair with SkyBell in the first place.

Note: You will need a 10 ohm / 10 watt resistor if you intend on using the DBCAM in a location without a mechanical chime. More information can be found here.
