The panel will send out signals across both IP and cellular, and the two communication paths will be there to back each other up. While you can use classic Z-Wave devices with the module, you will only get maximum range and battery life with Z-Wave Plus devices. Also be aware that all Z-Wave operation must occur through Alarm.com. The Concord 4 does not allow for on-site Z-Wave control.
